Fix-Wavelength Multi-Analyte Detection with Serial SOI Ring Resonators

We present a method for the read-out of five serially arranged SOI ring resonator-based biosensors at speed 3 Hz/sensor and fixed wavelength 1550 nm. The system uses high thermo-optical coefficient silicon by applying AC voltages to periodically heat up electrodes adjacent each sensor. A time-division multiplex scheme allows allocation measured optical output from mutual spectrum specific resonator. demonstrate our immobilizing two different antibodies (biotin hexa-His-peptide) surface selected resonators successfully showing selective binding characteristics analyte probing in microfluidics supported experiments.
